Middle school students are in an often confusing time of quest and discovery, especially with issues concerning their bodies, their sexuality, and their future. There are countless sources—from the media, to peers, to the Internet—ready to provide answers.
Theology of the Body, Middle School Edition
Mothers, not sure what to tell your daughters?
Join us for a faith-filled look at what it means to be a girl growing into womanhood in today’s society. Girls will be guided through engaging videos and activities geared to understanding God’s wonderful gift of our bodies.
The program is 4 hours and is open to all girls in Gr. 6-8 and their mothers (or other female caregivers).
“Girl Talk was a great experience. I got to learn lots and meet new girls. The food was great but the interactive activities were epic. I’m glad I attended!”
Diana
Our goal is to provide young girls accompanied by their mothers with information about the fundamentals of their cycles; to facilitate mother-daughter communication regarding reproductive health; to support parents’ efforts to educate their daughters in Christian sexuality.
“I thought that it was an amazing way for me and my mom to spend some time together because we are always running around. So it was an amazing time.”
Aisha
“Thanks for helping my daughters see that we have something in common, we are women! I liked the way you did the program; my girls are now turning to me with their questions.”
Jane (attendee of the Mother & Daughter program with her daughters)
