Train to be a Billings Ovulation Method® Instructor

Overview

Instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach, the Billings Ovulation Method® works with each woman’s unique patterns of fertility & infertility in all circumstances & all stages of reproductive life.  Women learn to identify their natural signs of fertility & infertility through charting, which is a reflection of their hormonal patterns. Billings Ovulation Method® instructors of excellence look at each chart & think in patterns. The Billings Ovulation Method® Basic Teacher Training Workshop (Part 1 of 2) is an in-depth, highly interactive study of the Billings Ovulation Method®. The objective of this program is to provide Instructors-in-training with the scientific basis of the Billings Ovulation Method® so that they can learn to confidently teach couples to plan & space their families, taking the guesswork out of preventing & achieving pregnancy.

“The good news of NFP needs to be shared with all. The awesome gift of fertility is the good news.  I’m excited to be able to share this.”

The NFPA provides a comprehensive training program to become an accredited instructor in the Billings Ovulation Method®. Our training program was developed by the Ovulation Method Research and Reference Centre of Australia.

The program takes approximately two years to complete and includes classroom instruction sessions, workshops #1 and #2, apprentice work, a case study, and a written exam.  All of our instructors are then required to re-accredit every three years after their initial accreditation.

Our instructors are volunteers and come from our satisfied users of the Billings Ovulation Method®. Some volunteers find themselves suited to other aspects of the Natural Family Planning Association and become promoters of this method rather than instructors.

“As a health professional, I’m thrilled to help clients with this evidence-based method of NFP.”

Workshops are held on an ongoing basis as the first step to train interested individuals to become accredited instructors in the Billings Ovulation Method®.

While workshops are open to all who want an in-depth knowledge of the Billings Ovulation Method®, those who are new to the method should take an introductory course first.

“It is always uplifting to be with other Instructors and always learn a new or better way of sharing information with woman and couples.”
