The Billings Ovulation Method® Refresher Class!

Has it been a while since you learned the Billings Ovulation Method®? 

While the original developers of the Billings Ovulation Method®, Drs. Evelyn and John Billings, have passed on, the research continues and new developments have been made. The Billings Ovulation Method® continues to be a highly effective means for couples to plan their families and and the chart in particular is a reliable tool with which to monitor fertility. This refresher class will offer a new presentation and answer any questions.

Girl Talk & Tea for Mothers & Daughters

Mothers, are you at a loss for what to tell your daughters when the topics come up?

Middle school students are in an often-confusing time of quest and discovery, especially with issues concerning their bodies, their sexuality, and their future. There are countless sources—from the media, to peers, to the Internet—ready to provide answers.

Theology of the Body for Teens: Middle School Edition

This talk & tea for mothers and daughters is a special faith-filled approach to understanding what it means to grow into womanhood in today’s society. Supplemented with engaging videos and activities, the presentation will help girls realize how their bodies are a wonderful gift from God.

St. Bernadette’s Parish invites girls in Gr. 6 to 8 and their mothers or other female family members to their Tea & Presentation sponsored by the Theology of the Body Ministry and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Bernadette Circle #1408 on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

What is it?

The Billings Ovulation Method® Basic Teacher Training Workshop (Part 1) is an in-depth, intensive & highly interactive study of the Billings Ovulation Method®. This science-based approach enables teachers-in-training to confidently teach couples the Billings Ovulation Method®.

The Billings Ovulation Method™ Teachers of Excellence learn to look at charts and think in patterns, paying attention to the woman’s hormones and cervical response. They thus help couples to recognize the daily signs of fertility in all circumstances of life.

Who is it for?

This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning the Billings Ovulation Method®, including:

  • Teachers & trainees of the Billings Ovulation Method®
  • Individuals & couples interested in using the Billings Ovulation Method®
  • Physicians & medical professionals
  • Clergy, seminarians, & religious

Those interested in becoming an accredited Billings Ovulation Method® teacher must attend this workshop. Accredited Billings Ovulation Method® teachers are required to attend the Basic Teacher Training Workshop every two years to keep current with the Billings Ovulation Method®.

The Natural Family Planning Association (NFPA)’s Board of Directors is actively recruiting new members. All interested individuals who feel committed to NFPA’s mission are welcome to apply.

The mission of the Natural Family Planning Association is to teach the Billings Ovulation Method of family planning while promoting an understanding and appreciation of fertility that reflects Catholic teachings as outlined in
Humanae Vitae. We serve the entire community regardless of religious
background: single women, married and engaged couples, adolescents as
well as those who provide teaching and counseling to them
.

What does becoming a Board Member entail?

  • Attending monthly meetings (with the exception of July and August) held in person in the Toronto office or virtually via ZOOM
  • Serving for a three-year term with the possibility of renewal for a second term
  • Serving on one of the Board’s five committees

Who are we looking for?

  • Those with previous experience serving on a Board of Directors, or who are interested in gaining experience serving on a Board of Directors
  • Those who have a passion for NFPA’s mission and vision
  • Those with experience or skills in fundraising and promotion, finance, strategic planning, and organization
